Job description, authority and responsibility

  • Management and configuration of network devices - setting up firewalls, switches, and wireless access points, optimization, and regular configuration checks.
  • Change management and documentation - recording changes, maintaining up-to-date network documentation (diagrams, topologies, CMDB).
  • Monitoring - actively monitoring network traffic and performance and related elements, adding/removing monitored devices, and improving alerts.
  • Physical infrastructure - installing network elements (rack mounting, cabling), maintaining network nodes and/or data centers.
  • Technical communication - creating and resolving tickets, cooperating with suppliers and technical support.
  • Client implementations - designing and configuring network and security solutions, assisting with optimization and implementation.
  • Security technologies and processes - implementation and administration of security tools, cooperation on improving security processes (e.g., automation).
  • Pre-sales support - technical consultations at client meetings, presentations and demo demonstrations of solutions, communication with suppliers.

Personal qualifications and skills

Technical skills:
  • Experience with network administration (L2/L3, routing, VLAN, ACL, VPN, wireless networks).
  • Knowledge of firewall policies, segmentation, and network security.
  • General overview of security solutions.
  • Practical experience with monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of change management and ability to maintain high-quality documentation.
  • Ability to independently analyze problems, propose solutions and improvements, and communicate with internal and external parties.
  • Advantage - experience with automation/scripting, knowledge of security frameworks and SOC operations.
